Saturday night was just what the Doctor ordered to kick off this huge Modest Home Makeover project! We had 130 people come and enjoy the beautiful voice of Christina Deloach and the unbelievable playing of the Thunder Brothers (they were beautiful too……their playing that isJ).
From my stand point the whole day was filled with anticipation of what the night had in store. That anticipation turned into thanksgiving as the night went on. Everyone who came seemed to radiate a Joy that was contagious! That Joy was coupled with generous hearts as the evening total for the benefit concert was $8,998!!
What a privilege it is to be apart of such loving, generous people and businesses who care enough to help people when they are in need. This was just one of many steps that is needed to take place before the home is complete. I hope you would agree with me in saying that this was a great first financial step! $150,000 may seem like a big number but after the generosity shown Saturday night I have little doubt that this community is up for the challenge to raise the proper funds and build a new home! If you haven’t given already or would like to volunteer please don’t leave this web site without doing one or both. For those that came to the Benefit Concert, on behalf of Hallfrisch’s and the modest home makeover group, Thank you for your partnership!
