Raising the Barn Success!!!
Wow what a night! I know I can speak for everyone here at Modest Home Makeover when I say that we were overwhelmed with gratitude over the support that we received from the community on Friday night. It is really hard to plan an event like this and gauge what the turn out or success will be until it is over. So we planned the best we could setting goals and working hard to make it happen. This event met and surpassed all expectations! We had 180 people come and raised $4,239.62! The dance community came out in full force a long with many supporters of MHM (including Mayor Ness :-) to enjoy a rocking time with Rock-A-Billy Revue, some excellent BBQ sandwiches and a great silent auction. I hope everyone enjoyed the evening and walked away satisfied knowing you had fun supporting a great cause
So our appreciation goes out to On- Site Professional Cleaning and Northern Trends Building and Design for sponsoring the event. This helped us take care of a few expenses. Clyde Iron Works Center for donating the space and staff, Squirrel and his dance teaching/networking skills, Mike and Rebecca Bruley and their endless efforts with the auction, the Auction Solicitors, Mae Livgaurd, Michele Keil, Tammy Lillo and Sue Deloach, and to Pam Esselstrom for donating the table center pieces. These were key players in making the event happen, but there were also many volunteers helping out during the event that we could not have done with out, we appreciate you guys too! Thank you to everyone!
Remember this isn't the end; we still have about $20,000+ left to raise. So keep the commitment going and tell all your friends about Modest Home Makeover. We can't do this with out you!
